Enabler’s Are Us

Well, I Never…

Tell us about something you’ve done that you would advise a friend never to do.

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Well, I Never….”

I am one of the best enabler’s you can meet. I allow your dysfunction to rise to new heights. I am just that good to you and your depressed state of being. Yup. That’s me in all of my glorious, non-help or direction. yup, That’s me again.

My advice for the day is

To thine own self, be true. If you know you are an enabler, it may be wise to stay away from dysfunction people. Some people repeat their dysfunction like they breathe. I mean, we all some shirt coming that’ll piss off someone else. I just can’t worry about those things.

I guess my point is that I’m not being judgemental, I’m just saying that I need to learn when people have abused or overstayed their invitation on my shoulder, to release them without guilt. They need to grow up and deal with life like the rest of us.

Btw…it really chaps my hide that you can never lean on them for anything. Talk about a non-reciprocal friendship.

Enabler defined as:

  • a person who encourages or enables negative or self-destructive behavior in another.
“he criticized her role as an enabler in her husband’s pathological womanizing”
