Why Do We Do This? UBC #3

Why Do We Do This? UBC Day #3

We are on day 3 of our ultimate blog challenge and today’s topic is about writing about the future of this blog and why I decided to share on it.

There is a saying that: “People love to follow someone that is going somewhere!”

So, where am I going and what is the reason for sharing my thoughts online in such a public manner? Well, simply put, I decided to do this because I wanted to leave something for my kiddos to get to know me with and to let them know that after divorcing their father, I found ‘me’. Sometimes you have to lose the illusion of yourself to find the truth or purpose.

The future of this blog is to remind me that we are here on this earth living this life to fulfill and find our purpose while we are living free. Life is worth cherishing and respecting. We don’t see much of that on television or the ‘idiot box’ I like to call it. There is so much hate in the world right now that we must hold tight to love and empathy.

We sometimes forget to share our love with those that need it the most. I know that I am truly guilty of that. I have a serious character flaw that has held me back from showing my friends and those closest to me, how I truly feel about them, or how truly thankful to them for putting up with me.

There are times when we need help finding the words. When the words get so caught up in our throats that they are held hostage by society or political correctness. We must push through these restraints and not be bound by anything nor anyone. Remember, your life is your life and my life is mine. Push through the mistakes and find the knowledge and peace that awaits you on the other side of the mistake.

Challenges are what gives us guidance and character. As long as we respect those challenges and see them for what they are. Maybe one day I can take all of my posts and turn them into a book. Maybe that’ll be my ultimate goal.

One last note, character flaws are like fingerprints, they mold us into who we are. Don’t be ashamed of them, embrace them and learn from them. What are some of the flaws that make you, you?

If you are interested in participating in the July Ultimate Blog Challenge, check out my post from Day #1 that gives a description of how to join in on the fun.
