Mind Your Own Fragrance

The fragrance of betrayal is deafening. It keeps us from acknowledging the pain and confusion we cause in others, as well as ourselves.

The fragrance of self-righteousness is warming and consoling. It causes us to believe we are above the fray. When in reality we are the cause of dismay.

I’ve been on the receiving end of many different fragrances that were created to hide true intent. It’s a tough place to be in when the one that’s bombarding your nasal cavity does not want to accept that the aroma is foul.

Sometimes we must choose to stay away from such odors, for they can contaminate our being and confuse our own circle. That we’ve worked so hard to remain odor free.

Don’t get me wrong, self-righteous is not the goal here just self-awareness. Aware that my fragrance may not be playing to others, and that’s OK. We all can choose.

Just be aware that when a fragrance is too good to be true, it probably is. Trust your gut and your heart for they speak truths our minds will try to rationalize.

So, on that note, I’ll remain odor free until you recognize your fragrance of deceit. The lives I’m responsible for cannot be subjected to such confusing stench of pseudo morality.

Once this is done, then you can truly LiveFree and LoveOnPurpose.

Don’t worry, life is waiting for you to get it right.

  1. O great, another piece of great metaphorical description on fragrance. Fragrance can win your heart and soul and odors can put you also on dismay. The fragrance of betrayal and the fragrance of self-righteousness are so beautifully narrated. Just keep up the great work!!
